Miracles

Tonight I experienced what I can only describe as a miracle in disguise. As a part of Collin's calling he has to go through lots of scout training and this weekend the training is an over-nighter. So he hurried home from school on the scooter and had a quick dinner, packed a small bag and informed me that he would be taking the scooter to his camp out. This worried me, and the more he piled onto the back of the scooter the more nervous I got. But we discussed it and though it was already dark and I was worried, I agreed to let him be a big boy and make his own decisions! It came time for him to leave and he needed to grab something from the big house, so he drove the scooter around to the big house, in we went and not surprisingly, his mother was just as worried as I was about the whole scooter after dark on a long drive thing. However, he grabbed what he needed and kissed me goodbye. He hopped on the scooter (that we had both driven all day long and that had just been driven from the pool house to the big house) tried to start it up and it wouldn't work. This is quite common and it usually will start up on the 2nd if not the 3rd try. So, he tried again, and again, and again, and again. No worky. Just to be funny I said, "let me try". So I hopped on and up it started! So I hurried and got off, leaving it running and told Collin to hop on quick so he could go! He sat down and it immediately died. He tried starting it up several more times but to no avail. Finally we decided that we were going to take the heavenly hint and he decided to go in a much safer vehicle! Ironically enough...I went to move the scooter back to the pool house and..it started right up. For some reason Heavenly Father didn't want Collin to ride that scooter, or maybe He didn't want me to worry. Either way, I feel like some how, some way, we dodged a major bullet, with heavenly help.

I know without a doubt this is true... sometimes I still am amazed that if you just stop and listen and have faith, things always work out the way they should.

I am glad he did not ride the scooter either!

Heavenly Father works in mysterious ways... It's inspiring when we solve the mysteries!

BTW: I'm so glad you were sufficiently spoiled on your birthday!
