Hide and Seek

As a kid I loved the game Hide and Go Seek as we called it. I especially loved playing in my grandparent's basement with all of the cousins because there were secret passageways, plenty of closet space, and lots of nooks and crannies we used to conceal ourselves.

Unfortunately, due to the size of our current living space, C and I have found that Hide and Seek isn't a huge option for game night these days. However, today I couldn't find C. I even went outside and looked.

Then I heard a little voice coming from above. And there he was.
Doodling.
On the roof.
With his pants rolled up.
Like a little boy.

Find the kid inside and do something crazy this weekend. I dare you.

Happy weekend.

The memories of hide and seek in grandma's basement is one of my best. In fact if you crawl down in the nook where they keep the tables I think you can still see all of our signatures :) Those were the days!
Ok really Tom and I are just sitting here laughing at Collin on the roof. He is awesome. Tom saw the pictures and said, "Collin is a free spirit isn't he?" Then he said, "he is probably up there creating something that will make him a millionaire and when when people ask him were he got the idea he will say, on my roof with my pants rolled up!" Ha ha. We love you guys!
And, the thought of playing hide and seek in that little apartment for game night is killing me, have you tried out strip card games yet? I could tell in Collins eyes when I told you that story that he was going to be trying that soon! HEE HEE!

You're going to love Chicago. The bummer is, it's still going to be pretty cold in March (I'd prepare for it to be in the 30s and 40s.) But maybe you'll bring some sunshine and warm weather with you. I feel like such a dork but when you asked for things to do here all I could think about was food. You DEFINITELY need to try out the Bongo Room. It's a breakfast/brunch place. YUM! If you want a nicer place to eat, Bandera and Avec are some of our favorite places in the city. If you want a good hot dog, we always like America's Dog. My top activity to do in Chicago is an architectural boat tour on the river but I don't think those will be up an running by next month :(. I have not been to the Art Institute yet but it is on my list of things to do--I hear it's AMAZING. (Thursday nights they have free admission.) Another thing I haven't done yet is go to the top of the Willis (formerly Sear's) Tower. They have a really cool sky deck up there and that is on my list of things to do as well. (I've been to the top of the Hancock tower which supposedly has a better view but I would definitely do the Willis tower now that the sky deck is open.) I always like to go in to the fancy shops on Michigan Avenue. They have some great affordable places to shop as well like Forever 21 (it's 3 stories) and H&M (my favorite). You could spend all day on Michigan Avenue. Millennium and Grant Park are also great to walk through. This is getting long but if you have any more questions or want more details, feel free to e-mail me (katherineevelyn@gmail.com).
