The dress....many of you kind people out there have commented on the dress I sported at my nieces baptism. I must admit, it's my very favorite dress. Probably for a billion reasons, but I will just name a few.
1. It is COMPLETELY modest. I don't have to worry about standing, sitting, bending, reaching, or anything at all. It keeps me 100% covered and care free.
2. It takes an addition well. I spilled something on it and it became a stain, so I added a little bow to the lower left hand side of the dress and nobody would ever have to know there was a stain.
3. Not many people have the dress. In fact I've only seen one other person wear it. Being someone who goes into a full anxiety attack if I walk into church and somebody else is wearing the same thing I am, I appreciate that the dress was hard to find.
4. It came a size too big but still looked okay when I put it on. It's a style and shape that fits no matter what and with my fluctuating weight and body type (thank you motivation) this dress always fits.
5. Collin likes it. Enough said.
Well, I've looked for over a week now to try and hook you all up with a link where you could buy this dress but it's hopeless. I bought the dress online at Target (reason #6 I love the dress, it didn't cost me a whole pay check and a week of nothing but mac n' cheese to buy it) 2 seasons ago and it is now nowhere to be found. I've tried everything. The brand on the tag, target's clearance, EVERYTHING. So it looks like this dress is slowly becoming a memory. I mentioned that I've only seen one other person wear the dress and when I saw who it was, I was freaking out. I sent the following text to Collin when I saw the photo "It kind of rocks to see somebody semi-famous wearing the same dress that you own. BAM." Who is this rock star that makes me proud to wear my dress? None other than Nie Nie herself. And though I am fully willing to admit that it looks so much cuter on her, there is still a load of satisfaction knowing that I at least had the taste to buy the dress even if I didn't have the style to pull it off as beautifully as she did. Oh this dress. I kind of love her. And here, a photo ode to the dress that has been, and will undoubtedly continue to be so good to me.
