Christmas this year was spent with the Smiths. It was so great! We didn't have any out of towners come in but we in towners had a blast. We started off by having the annual Wright Family Christmas Party. We all shared our talents or the lack there of and then we got to watch the kids gather round and chat with Santa. It was great and the food was even greater! On Christmas Eve we all did the usual Smith stuff, broke the pig, piggy pudding, roast beast, Grandpa read The Grinch while Coll did the puppets, and we opened our jammies. Then Coll and I went to bed and we soon realized it was midnight, officially Christmas so I talked Coll into letting us each open a present. Then I couldn't sleep so I woke him up at 5:00 and we opened the rest of our presents. We were so blessed this year. Then we went into the big house and The other Smiths and the Bowmans came over and we filed into the family room to see what Santa dropped off. He was mighty generous as well. Then we all headed to Grandpa Tom's for breakfast, it was delish. The rest of the day Coll and I just watched home videos (thanks Mom and Dad Smith) and chilled. The day after Christmas was the Smith Family Christmas Party. I got to meet a few new cousins I didn't know before and we had the white elephant gift exchange and ate yummy food. It was so fun. The rest of the week was pretty chill. Then on Tuesday, the day before New Year's Eve Coll and I headed up to Eagar. Later on that day Brew and Karen joined us and we went to work on our parents' Christmas present which was to re-do their bedroom. Then on Wednesday night Michael and Camille's family joined us and then Sherrod and Sarah got there. We were so sad that we were all there except for Matt and Jan and all night we were talking about how much we missed them. We started working on the room and we laughed and had such a good time together. We even forgot it was New Year's Eve until about 10 minutes before midnight. Then Thursday morning we were all sitting around trying to get energy to go work on the bedroom again and the door bell rang. We assumed it was Grandpa Sherwood and then we heard little people voices. IT WAS MATT AND JAN!! Oh my goodness it was the best surprise EVER! Our entire family was together. We all pitched in and finished the room and had a blast doing it. The finished product was such an improvement. We all played the rest of the weekend and then went our separate ways. I was grateful when we got home that my flowers weren't dead! I forgot to get somebody to water them! Anyway. Christmas and New Year was excellent. I love my family so much and it was great to be with Smiths and Martins alike and thank you thank you thank you for all of our wonderful and thoughtful gifts and memories. Here are a few pictures from the holidays (even though it was almost a month ago)!
Our Christmas tree this year. It sure saved space!
The Wright party.
Larry amazed me in Eagar. He was building a tree house and he really knew what he was doing! He's not even 5 yet!!!
My dad had to drive my inlaw's Tahoe once and the settings automatically go to my Mother Inlaw's setting which means the seat is really close to the steering wheel and my dad didn't know how to move the seat back. He was stuck and it was so funny!! Poor daddy!
Coll and I after we just finished going down the hill a few times. My smile looks so weird because my lips were chapped to the point of not being able to move them! It was pathetic!
Brew and Karen working on the bathroom.
One of the walls after we were all done and proof that Matt and Jan came!! So fun!
The other walls after being done.
Family Picture of the ENTIRE FAMILY in the finished bedroom!
My flowers survived the week long drought! Actually, it was more than a week! They're good little flowers! The weeds did take over though, so I had to water and weed when I got home, they're troopers!
***Right before Christmas time, the most crucial time for a camera, our flash broke, hence the weird coloring in all of the photos that weren't taken outside! Sorry!

Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday season. I'm so glad you are surrounded by such awesome people!
That was a close one with Bob and the Tahoe steering wheel. We are glad to still have him with us. I hope he never finds out we were dying laughing inside the house!
He found out!!!
I love the pictures of the home makeover. I think it is so awesome that you guys did that.
Okay...are you living in the basement or the guest pool house. I'm confused. Thanks for play the piano for me yesterday. I think I'll have to show up next week unless I can think of something else to keep me home. :(
