Catch Up ... Again

So, it's been a while! And I can honestly say that for the most part I have full blown excuses! I am teaching voice, piano and dance, going to school full time, being a wife full time, and trying my hardest to do my church calling! I am loving life but I haven't had tons of time to blog lately! I will do better. So quick update; we got to go to Eagar for General Conference a couple of weeks back which was such a blast. We thought we were going to be the only ones up there but Sherrod and Sarah surprised us and showed up Saturday night to make things more fun! That weekend also happened to be the 5 year mark to the day of when we lost Grandma Sherwood so the Eagar grandkids put together  a little book of memories to give to our moms and Grandpa. It was such a treat to read the memories of my cousins. Someday I hope to do the same thing with all of the cousins and share in their memories as well. The next weekend Bryan and Karen, Eric and Markee, and Coll and I took a road trip to Payson (okay it's not THAT long of a trip but still) and we had so much fun! We laughed our heads off discussing such things as Hu-Dog, The Liberty Bell and of course we took some IPhone trivia. Then Sunday was Nash-Wa-Bash's blessing which was fantastic and the get together afterwards was such a joy! We got to meet E-train and Sissy who are sweet children that we hope to get to see more of in the future. I also attempted to make biscuits and gravy for the first time. I some how hoped and thought that if I wore one of Grandma's aprons that there would be no way they could go wrong. Turns out I was wrong. They weren't atrocious but I have a long way to go! Then this week I had an enrichment meeting to plan and I was going NUTS! I'm still learning and I have so far to go which means I'm not good at delegating and or asking for help which meant 3 hours before the meeting started I PANICKED! But my mother in law and Bryan came and helped a TON and then just when I thought things were going to fall apart, MY MOM AND DAD (or for the sake of my dad) MY DAD AND MOM walked in! It was honestly the best thing that could have happened at the time. It was my mommy's birthday and enrichment was a Mother-Daughter thing so we got to spend the night together while the boys went out for fish! I was grateful Coll got his fish intake in for the year because now I don't have to join him! Here are some pictures of our past few weeks....hope you enjoy!

My first B&G attempt...better luck next time!
When we got home from enrichment this is what we found. You see, I had time to only prepare the meal for the sisters, not clean up my mess, and the ants found the mess. There must have been 3 armies of them at least!! I had lots of food on the counter, they chose celery over many unhealthy items....at least we know ants are smart eaters.
(Be sure and click on the pictures to enlarge them so you get the true picture...little legs, antennas and all!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MOMMY
Why I love My Mom: A picture ode to the mother

I love my mom because...

When the rest of the house is watching conference and she needs to use something loud to  make scalloped potatoes, she goes into the bathroom and shuts the door so she won't disturb the peace!

I love my mom because she plants the most beautiful flowers every year.

I love my mom because she married my cool dad and together they gave me life, and 4 awesome brothers, one of which is shown here with my dad pretending to lick a spider....THAT'S why I love my mom!

And lastly, I love my mom because she took an incredibly, ridiculously awesome Vespa ride with my dad!! It was the best part of my day!

(Also, do yourself a favor and click to enlarge the above picture for a spectacular view of my dad's face...priceless!)

THANKS DAD FOR BRINGING MOM TO ME FOR MOTHER-DAUGHTER NIGHT!! I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH!!!!
