And All. That. Jaaaaaaazz

Yesterday we purposefully had no plan. We wanted to try as many different restaurants and foods as possible, and visit as many vintage and thrift shops as possible. I have NEVER seen or shopped in better vintage shops. The possibilities and selections were endless! We were in HEAVEN! Some of our highlights included visiting this delicious little place:

The Bongo Room

We had a chicken and pear sandwich with the most delicious potato salad ever. Thanks to Kate over at Raison D'etre for turning us on to the Bongo Room, we loved it:
While wandering down the street, freezing our tooshies off, we saw this sign and I had to giggle:
But this sign was my favorite of the day. Be back in 10 minutes....or so, haha:
We love the subway. Such a cheap form of transportation.
Last night we had the best meal I have EVER had. Now, I want you to keep in mind that my mother is the best cook I know, and I am constantly spoiled by her, my chef of a mother in law and the memory of my Grandma's spectacular cooking, so naturally nothing could ever be as good as what they make, but as far as eating out goes, I've never had better than what I ate last night.

We went to Crofton on Wells. I ordered the farm chicken which came with green beans and a bed of mashed potatoes unmatched by anything I've ever eaten. It was succulent.

A little snap shot in our room after dinner. Check out our view!
We had a yummy banana cream pie after our dinner at Crofton's but come about 10:00 we were craving ice cream. So we took a taxi to I Cream.

They use giant Commercial Kitchen Aid mixers to create your own, private, homemade ice cream or frozen yogurt right in front of you. It was divine.

We're having a blast here. We leave today and are hoping to see Wrigley Field, The Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower), get some good pizza and a hot dog and not freeze before we go!
