This morning I had to get up and take C to work at 5:30 a.m. I was dragging my feet a little but on my way home it was about 6:00 a.m. our time and 9:00 a.m. New York time. So as I listened to the radio I was hearing live coverage of things that were happening at Ground Zero. I heard name, after name, after name of people who died that day being read by family members and volunteers in the community. I heard stories of survivors and stories about those who didn't make it. One guy was there for work and when the first tower was hit he rounded up his crew and ran into the city to help. He called his wife on the way there and during their conversation the second tower was hit and they lost all communication, for 2 days. It made me hurt for his wife. Even though they found each other again and all was well, I bet those 2 days were unbelievable for her. There are thousands of stories like that, stories of pain, confusion, hurt, guilt, loss and sorrow. It's my hope that today we leave the politics aside, stop blaming our country for things that happened before and after the attacks, stop trying to forget, and instead take the time to stop what you're doing and say a prayer for those affected by the attacks. It's not about all that other stuff, it's about God and what His plan was. And no political view, no interview with the president, nobody is going to be able to explain it, just ask God and find out what His plan is for you. Here's one man's story about why September 11th happened for him.
May God bless all of those who are hurting today.

Eloquent, Sis! Wow!!
thank you for that Ash! Miss you...
Wow, very well said, what an awesome tribute. This morning I was able to take part in a color guard ceremony at work. It was heart warming to see the flag raised and lowered to half staff and to hear all about the 9-11 attacks. I'm proud to be an American! I'm grateful for those brave men and women who are fighting for my life and yours! Amen Sister!
