Old Friends

When I was growing up my school days were filled with homework, going to bed on time, eating healthy, wearing clothes that matched, soccer practices, piano practicing, and lots of other mostly important things. But my summers, well they were filled with enchantment. You see, one of my greatest childhood friends would come visit every summer, all summer, and we would laugh, rollerblade, slurp popsicles til our mouths turned blue, chase boys, chase cars, chase frogs, chase anything, and play until my mom or her dad would come outside and yell that it was time to come home. Often times one of us would go home with the other and stay until way past our bed time. I remember dancing, swimming, and eating. Though I don't remember details, and some of my memories are sketchy, nothing could make me forget the sweet laughter and feeling of pure bliss that came from my summertime friend. She made everything fun and light and bright, and she still does. Go check out her blog. You'll leave feeling happier, having laughed and learned, and you certainly won't be sorry.

You make me feel so good! I swear we lived in our rollerblades during the summer....or in our bathing suits jumping on the trampoline that always had a huge hole in it. Those were the days!
