This last weekend was the Larry Sherwood Reunion. Uncle Den (my mom's oldest brother) was in charge and he lives in Sierra Vista. So, those of us who could make it went to Sierra Vista last Friday and Saturday and we visited Kartchner Caverns, an old copper mine, and Tombstone. We also got to have an excellent dinner at Uncle Den's VFW. At the VFW Uncle Den's entertainment didn't show up, so without warning or informing me, he announced to the whole family that I would be singing karaoke in the bar for our entertainment. So, because kids were allowed in the bar until 9p.m. the whole family trucked into the bar and I serenaded them with a horrid rendition of "Cowboy Take Me Away". Seeing my parents in a bar was totally worth it though...pictures to follow. All in all it was a fabulous weekend full of lots of family, fun and memories. Thanks Uncle Den!
This was our caravan, we had like 15 cars in a row everywhere we went!
A big hole in the ground...sweet!
My mom kept saying "this is why we have reunions, for the little cousins". It was so fun to see them all loving each other! This is Little Ty, Grace, and Alex.
And of course, Dad couldn't stand for a sign that displayed improper English!
So, he fixed it.
Ahhhh.......much better!
The cousins again....it was so fun to see them having fun with each other.
Collin found the opportunity of catching a photo of Uncle Rich getting suited up by a little man to be totally priceless! It was funny!
The whole crew on the mining train in our sweet gear getting ready to enter the mine. This it the point where Mom and Grandpa almost hopped off! They were troopers!
I asked if we could purchase the flattering gear but it was too pricey for me.
Grandpa looked awesome.
Someday, I will have something, a studio, a clothing boutique, a child, something named Lyric.
I loved this picture, it was taken in Bisbee. I thought it looked like Italy or something! The buildings were awesome.
By the end of the weekend (and possibly from some previous training from Rylee while she lived in Eagar) Grandpa was pro at posing for pictures.
This sign made my day. This was at Boothill Graveyard. Poor guy. At least they set the record straight.
Speaking of Grandpa and pictures, he was in the way while I was trying to get a photo of just the plaque, and when he realized it...
...he stepped right in for a pose! He's such a nipper! But doesn't he look handsome?
This was (according to Grandpa who totally knows his stuff) the place where the only battle the Mormon Battalion ever fought was fought, and it was against bulls! Kinda cool.
Dinner at the VFW. Jake was our dinner buddy and he was so delightfully entertaining! And he's talented too!
This was quite possibly the funniest moment of the trip. My parents, Bryan and Karen, and Collin and I were all in the same hotel room. That's 3 couples, 2 room keys. Well, it ended up that on this trip out of the hotel, Collin had one key and my dad had the other. Well Dad and Mom stayed in the lobby to chat with Grandpa and Collin and I went to check out the pool. We took our sweet, sweet time and walked around, and then finally about 10 minutes later got on the elevator. When I started thinking, I realized Brew and Karen, who had gone up to the room minutes before, didn't have a key. I lost it laughing, and then laughed even harder when we got off the elevator and this is what we saw!! Bryan says it all. Priceless!
The weather was nice, never too hot and the clouds all weekend were beautiful!
Karaoke in the bar. So fun!
And....drum roll please....the proof that Bob, Tonna, Bryan, Karen and plenty of others went into a bar!! Looks like Karen realky enjoyed herself, and I would kill for her teeth! Thanks for the support guys!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this Ash! I would have LOVED to have gone! Looks like it was a hit! Uncle Rich getting suited up by a man at least half his size is awesome. Grandpa posing is to die for!! I will take some credit for that! Looks like it was so much fun!! Nothing quite like "The Little Larry"
If I wouldn't have seen all the pictures I would have thought "oh I bet they had fun" THen I would have forgotten about it. Now I am even more sad that I dind't go.
P.S.
Karen's teeth are amazing
Oh man, I wish I wouldn't have seen these. I really wanted to be there! I had sick kiddos and a husband drowning in books studying for the board exam! Thanks for the pictures, looks like fun!
